THE PAINTED PIGS WEEKEND CHOICE CHOPPERINO'S MARCH 20/21-2010

THE PIGS BEEN RUN OFF HIS HOCKS TO DAY. CHASING DOWN LEADS, TIPS AND SCAN REQUESTS. ITS A BIG WORLD OUT THERE YOU HUMANS HAVE BUT ITS AN EXCITING ONE. IN THE PIG WORLD ITS EAT, SLEEP AND THEN EAT AND SLEEP SOME MORE. THAT'S WHY  I TRY TO BE A PROACTIVE PIG, ROUND OUT THE SKILL SET, MAKE ME VALUE ADDED SO TO SPEAK. YOU HUMANS KNOW THE CAREER SPEAK, ALWAYS IMPROVING, EVER EVOLVING.

THE PIG GETS IT. THE PIG UNDERSTANDS QUIET, SOLITARY PATIENCE WITH A DOSE OF CAUTIOUS OPTIMISM AND UNDERSTANDING. THE PIG UNDERSTANDS THAT A PROPER PLAN MIXED WITH AN ENTREPRENEURIAL STREAK MIXED WITH A SPRINKLE OF SCIENCE WILL HOPEFULLY TAKE US TO THE PIGS ULTIMATE GOAL (FOR HIMSELF AND FOR YOU).THAT IS TO BUILD A FOUNDATION OF PROFITS BIG ENOUGH TO RETIRE ON AND TRAVEL, INVEST MORE OR EVEN TRADE FULL TIME ......ALL THE WHILE SITTING ON THE BEACH OR IN THE MOUNTAINS ENJOYING HARD FOUGHT GAINS........? OKAY WITH YOU GUYS ?....ITS OKAY WITH THE PIG....

ON WITH THE SHOW...

SEM.V...THE PIG LIKES THE NUMBERS...LOW FLOAT, DECENT MANAGEMENT AND SOME FORMIDABLE SCANS. 9 OF 10 VECTORS REPORTING HIGH NUMBERS AND SOME REAL ACCUMULATION IN PROGRESS. NOT MUCH ON THE PIGS END REGARDING THE STORY OF THE COMPANY, BUT THE NUMBERS SURE DON'T LIE.......

SNR.V...............SECOND HIGHEST SCANNER OF THE WEEKEND SCANS. (INCIDENTALLY WE AVERAGE OVER 1500 COMPANIES PER SCAN) WITH VERY HIGH NUMBERS IN 8 OF 10 AREAS INCLUDING DISTRIBUTION, MOVING AVERAGES AND MOMENTUM. LOOKS LIKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT OF SOME SORT IS COMING AND THE INSIDE RABBLE IS LINING UP FOR SHARES. MIGHT BE A GOOD TRADER FOR A DOUBLE IF LIQUIDITY PERSISTS.

OCO.V.....THIRD OVERALL HIGH SCANNER OF THE WEEKEND. NOT MUCH ON THE STORY BUT SOME EXCITING NUMBERS SEEM TO BE COMING FROM IT. ONE TO WATCH AND IF LIQUIDITY RETURNS A CONSIDERATION TO BE MADE FOR NIBBLING AT A TRADE. HAS A HIGH PERCENTAGE MOVE BUILT INTO IT BUT THE SCAN DOES NOT TELL THE PIG AS TO TIME LINE....

Athabasca Potash shareholders approve BHP deal

Thu, Mar 18 2010

TORONTO, March 18 (Reuters) - Athabasca Potash <API.TO> said on Thursday that its shareholders had voted in favor of global mining giant BHP Billiton's <BHP.AX> <BLT.L> C$341 million ($338 million) cash takeover offer. In January, BHP offered to buy the potash exploration company for C$8.35 a share, in a bid to expand its asset base in the potash-rich Canadian province of Saskatchewan. The two companies expect the deal to close by March 23. Athabasca's Burr project in Saskatchewan is adjacent to BHP's own Jansen project, the junior potash player also owns a number of exploration properties in the vicinity.

ATLAS SHRUGGED.........

The morality of capitalism is a major theme in Atlas Shrugged, which for the first time in history offered a full defense of capitalism, not just as a practical system of economics, but as the only moral social system. This page offers more information on Ayn Rand’s unique vision of capitalism as presented in Atlas Shrugged.
  • What is Capitalism?

Capitalism is a social system based on the recognition of individual rights, including property rights, in which all property is privately owned.
The recognition of individual rights entails the banishment of physical force from human relationships: basically, rights can be violated only by means of force. In a capitalist society, no man or group may initiate the use of physical force against others. The only function of the government, in such a society, is the task of protecting man’s rights, i.e., the task of protecting him from physical force; the government acts as the agent of man’s right of self-defense, and may use force only in retaliation and only against those who initiate its use; thus the government is the means of placing the retaliatory use of force under objective control.
—Ayn Rand, “What Is Capitalism?” Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal
  • Why Is Capitalism Moral?

The moral justification of capitalism does not lie in the altruist claim that it represents the best way to achieve “the common good.” It is true that capitalism does—if that catch-phrase has any meaning—but this is merely a secondary consequence. The moral justification of capitalism lies in the fact that it is the only system consonant with man’s rational nature, that it protects man’s survival qua man, and that its ruling principle is: justice.
