THE PAINTED PIGS THURSDAY MORNING THOROUGHBREDS

THE PIG APOLOGIZES FOR LAST NIGHTS NO SHOW. THE BLOG HAS SOME TECHNICAL ISSUES FROM TIME TO TIME THAT ARE OUT OF THE PIGS CONTROL.

THE PIG SEES SOME BARGAINS IN THE MARKET. THE PIGS SCANNER REASSURES THE PIG THAT THE MARKET IS GOING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION OVERALL. SPECIFICALLY, THE PIG SEES THE RESOURCES AREA GAINING GROUND AS MORE NEW MONEY COMES BACK TO THE SPEC JUNIORS. ALTHOUGH STILL A BIT UNSURE, THE JUNIORS ARE EXHIBITING GOOD SIGNS OF CONFIDENCE. THE PIG SEES THAT THIS MAY BE A BREAKTHROUGH SPRING AND SUMMER AND IT MAY ONCE AGAIN SHOW US THE YOUTHFUL ENTHUSIASM IT CONTAINED THE LAST FEW YEARS. COMMODITIES ARE BECOMING STRONG AGAIN, AND THERES NO TELLING WHAT CAN HAPPEN. BE READY !

ON WITH THE SHOW....

"Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value."- Albert Einstein

NGE.V...NO STORY ON THIS AS YET. BUT ! THE SYMBOL HAS BEEN SCANNING FOR THE PAST 7 TRADING DAYS IN THE TOP 15 AND THEN TOP 10. ITS NOW ENTERED THE TOP THREE. BIG NUMBERS IN KEY AREAS INCLUDING DISTRIBUTION, MOVING AVERAGES, AND BUY SIGNALS. WORTH A WATCH, IF IT GETS MORE LIQUID AND KEEPS IN THE ACCUMULATION PHASE, ITS PROBALY WORTH A NIBBLE.

LAQ.V...NOT MUCH ON THE STROY SIDE BUT SHE PRODUCED SOME NICE NUMBERS. LOW FLOAT WHICH THE POG LIKES, AND GREAT SCANS IN MOVING AVERAGES, NET CAPITAL INFLOW, AND PARABOLIC READINGS. THE PIG LIKES IT BECAUSE ITS EXHIBITING SIGNS OF ONE OF THOSE INSTANT DOUBLES THAT ARE SO RARE. THE PIG CAUTIONS THOUGH, LIQUIDITY AND ACCUMULATION HAS TO CONTINUE.

SRU.T....A PIG EXPERIMENT. THE PIG IS MOVING INTO SCANNING A FEW TORONTO BIG BOARD SYMBOLS. THIS IS ONE OF THE ONES THE SCANNER PICKED UP ON, AND WITH SOME NICE NUMBERS TO BOOT. THE JURIES OUT YET, BUT IT SHOULD BE WATCHED FOR MORE DRAMATIC CHANGES. COULD BE  A GOOD TRADE IF LIQUIDITY STAYS AND IMPROVES.

Commodities: Oil slips as supplies rise

Thu 22 Apr 2010

LONDON (SHARECAST) - Oil prices dipped on Wednesday in choppy trading, after the weekly government inventory report showed a bigger than expected rise in supplies. Crude for June delivery fell 17 cents to settle at $83.68 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Figures from the Energy Information Administration showed crude oil stockpiles rose by 1.9m, against expectations of a more modest 300,000 barrel rise. Distillates rose by 2.1m barrels, instead of an expected 840,000 barrel rise. Meanwhile gasoline stocks surged by 3.6m barrels. Analysts had been expecting a gain of 100,000 barrels. The bearish numbers outweighed earlier cheer about rising demand for jet fuel as European resumed flights.Airports across Europe have been forced to ground flights, leaving passengers stranded for days. The rising dollar also weighed on demand for oil but gold retained its shine.

Gold for June delivery rose $9.60 to $1,148.80 an ounce as investors cheered positive US results from Apple and IBM. Platinum and palladium rose to a fresh two-year high on Wednesday on hopes of higher demand as investors digested upbeat earnings and concern about fraud charges against Goldman Sachs starts to ease. Palladium for June delivery bounced $16.85 to $568.25 an ounce.
