THE PIGS TRADING SYSTEM EXPLAINED....SORT OF

THE PIGS GOT SOME MAIL IN HIS HOCKS FROM THE PAST WEEK. REMEMBER THE PIGS EMAIL IS ....thepaintedpig@hotmail.com.....IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, CRITIQUES, AND QUERIES, THEN SEND EM OVER. THIS WEEK THE PIG RECEIVED SOME QUESTIONS ON HIS TRADING PROGRAM AND HOW IT WORKS. SO THE PIG THOUGHT HE COULD TRY AND EXPLAIN TO YOU ALL WHAT, HOW, AND WHY IT WORKS.

THE PIGS SYSTEM IS BASED ON "ALGORITHMS" (SEE: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trend_following), IN FACT 10 SETS OF THEM WITH MORE THAN TEN TRADING FACTORS BUILT IN. THE PIGS SYSTEM IS IN FACT, "IN-HOUSE" DESIGNED AND STILL WELL IN ITS INFANCY OF DEVELOPMENT. BUT AS THE PIG LEARNS WHAT THE DIFFERENT CRITERIA ARE BEST USED WITH EACH OTHER AND THE RELATED ALGORITHM'S, PICKS WILL BE MORE PRONOUNCED AND FEATURE BETTER GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES.

THE TRICK TO THE SYSTEM IS ABOUT 20% WORKLOAD IN COMPILING THE DATA, 80% IN INTERPRETING IT, AND THEN SEEING WHAT THE DATA CAN DO IN REAL WORLD SITUATIONS. THE PIG FEELS THAT ONCE WE GET A FEW MONTHS OF REGULAR SCANNING ACTIVITY UNDER OUR BELTS, WE WILL BE ABLE TO SAFELY USE THE VARIABLES INVOLVED TO MAKE EVEN MORE RELIABLE AND PROFITABLY PORK CHOP PICKS. ITS TAKEN THE PIG MORE THAN A YEAR TO GET IT INTO OPERATION AND LEARN THE USAGE OF IT, SO EXPONENTIALLY (PIGS ARE FAT LEARNERS) IT COULD BE SAID THAT IT WILL BE MUCH QUICKER TO COMPLETE THE LEARNING CURVE AND UTILIZE IT PROFITABLY, AS TIME GOES ON. NO GUARANTEES ON THE FARM BUT WE CAN REDUCE THE RISK BY A HEAP.

IF YOUR CURIOUS, SOME OF THE VARIABLES WITHIN THE SYSTEM ARE............

  • Moving Averages.
  • Accumulation Ratios
  • Relative Strength Index.
  • Capital Inflow/Outflow.
  • Directional Movement and ADX
  • Stochastic, MACD, Momentum, and other Oscillators.
  • Support and Resistance levels.
  • Fibonacci numbers.
  • Elliot Waves.
  • Bollinger Bands.
  • Commodity Channels.
  • On Balance Volume.
  • Advance/decline lines or tan lines.
  • Economic Report Trading\News Releases
